It’s been a little while since we put on a bit of a screening, so thanks to our lovely friends over at Roadshow Entertainment, Nuffnang are hosting 2 screenings of the Academy Award winning film ‘The Artist’. To celebrate the DVD and Blu Ray release of the film on June 28th, we’re hosting one screening in Melbourne and one up north in Brisbane (looking forward to visiting Brissie bloggers!)
Set during the twilight of Hollywood’s silent era and shot on location in Los Angeles, THE ARTIST tells the story of a charismatic movie star of the silent film era dealing with his falling popularity as talking pictures become the norm.
Mixing comedy, romance and melodrama, The Artist is a rarity in today’s Hollywood blockbuster dominated industry, sweeping the Oscars to win five awards including Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Director. The New York Times agreed, calling the film “An irresistible reminder of nearly everything that makes the movies great.”

Each blogger attending will receive 2 copies of ‘The Artist’ on DVD thanks to Roadshow Films; one for themselves and one to give away to their readers in a post or competition.

Due to the capacity of each theatre being quite intimate, tickets are limited. Tickets will be for Nuffnang bloggers only (and their +1) so please make sure you are able to attend on the above dates before entering. Tickets are not able to be passed off to family/friends in your place.
